1. Briefly tell us about yourself sir!
My name is Emmanuel Ndubuisi Nwaotule,former General Manager of Bio-ingredients Limited .
I started my career in the Nigeria Livestock Industry as a youth corper with Agro Feedmill Limited, in Calabar , Cross River State in 1988. There i worked as an assistant breeder supervisor. On completion of my youth services i was employed by FEMAPP FARMS LIMITED in Badagry as production manager. On leaving FEMAPP FARMS , i was employed by MAYFIELD FARMS as Farm Manager. From there i was employed by Bio-ingredients Limited where i worked as sales /marketing manager for about twelve years. I re-signed voluntarily to become self employed. Currently, i represents both DEX IBERICA of Spain and FINELY ANIMAL CARE LIMITED of China , the only company that export feed enzyme to European countries from China,as technical sales support for their products in Nigeria.
2. Tell us briefly how farmers can make the best of this situation in Nigeria today?
Regrettably, farming generally in Nigeria currently is very difficult and challenging.If you consider the high cost of livestock feed inputs and relatively scarcity of these micro and macro inputs, then one would understand what i talking about. But , be that as it may, livestock businesses must continue in Nigeria at all costs. My advice is that large scale livestock businesses should down size relatively to remain in business until the situation gets better hopefully. All livestock businesses should identify wasteful areas and prevent them managerially and administratively . Superior and excellent livestock/farm management practices must be maintained. Eagle eyed bio-security practices and un-compromising sanitation/vaccination practices should not be over-looked. There should be an adequate daily record book including superb book-keeping activities in the farms if they are to continue to remain afloat.

FACZYME:
